Our goal is to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs, to conduct dog shows, agility trials, obedience trials, tracking tests, and sanctioned matches under the rules of the American Kennel Club. We also strive to protect and advance the interests of all breeds of purebred dogs and to demonstrate sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, agility trials, obedience trials, and tracking trials. Through these efforts we hope to provide educational opportunities to the public on all aspects of dog ownership.
TVKC classes have always been open to all breeds and mixed breed dogs. Beginning April 1, 2010, AKC made the decision to allow affiliated clubs to open their performance events to dogs with a Canine Partners AKC registration number to compete in the same Agility, Obedience, and Rally Obedience classes as dogs with an AKC, ILP, or PAL registration number.
